From Good to Great – No More and No Less
For almost three years, I have served as the CEO of Descom. Three years sounds like a long time, but especially in our field, whole years seem to fly by so fast that it is hard to keep up. The field is marked by continuous change and tough competition. Our company was supposed to be hit hard by the economic crisis like all other companies, and it was - but in a positive way! Our customers appreciated our attitude and our expertise. In addition, our know-how and solutions are in investment areas with which customers seek competitiveness and profitability.
I believe that IT service providers should specialize in order to truly bring additional value and their know-how into their customers’ business. That is why we have concentrated on consulting, developing, and delivering eBusiness solutions with IBM technology, such as online stores, eServices, and social intranet solutions.
We can only succeed with the help of our highly qualified staff and satisfied customers. Continuous development, growth, and profitability make this possible. Last year, we participated for the first time in the Great Place to Work assessment and we were successful, placing 23rd. In the same year, we also were granted the ISO2000 certificate. These, in addition to our customer satisfaction and profitable growth, gave even the CEO something to smile about!
We continuously develop our services, and our latest investment was in our business consulting know-how and cloud services. Our goal is to make it easier and simpler to implement, develop, and maintain complicated solutions. In the coming years, we will continue to invest in our services, customer relationships, and staff. I believe that our new services, such as cloud services, will also make it possible for our customers to continue to succeed in their business.
