Merit Consulting Oy and Descom Oy signed a partnership agreement on system architecture collaboration in December 2013. In the future, Descom will operate as Merit's subcontractor and partner on matters related to system infrastructure. The close cooperation between Merit and Descom will guarantee that the previously challenging gray area between infrastructure and application expertise is finally covered as customers wish.Read more

In early February, the Finnish retail trade company Kesko announced that it will boost its cost-saving measures and close down one third of its Anttila department stores. The most significant reason for this was stated to be the increase in online shopping, as well as increased competition. To compensate for the closing down of its department stores, Kesko will expand the selection of products available in its online stores.
